's Story

One day, from looking at my 4-year old's quirky self portrait, I got the idea to make soft toys or SOFTIES based on a child's drawing . His drawing showed me the potential of children's art to be the inspiration for unique and wonderful toys. I recently completed a self employment program (Langara EASE) and have started taking orders. One of the biggest challenges of any new business is getting the word out. I have been able to find creative ways to promote my company; Child's Own is featured in parenting websites and publications. My product is unique: Child's Own softies celebrate developmental milestones in children's creativity and will be cherished for a lifetime.
